Challenge & a Brief Farewell

Current Total: $256

IF we get to $400 by the time I return (that would be Friday afternoon). I will send to EACH AND EVERY person that pledges $10 between now and then a copy of the SIS mix CD( and I may just send one anyway if enough of you at least try to reach the goal). This custom made CD, was made by an original sistah (i.e young cancer survivor) and is guaranteed to make you smile, laugh and shake your bootay! Containing such songs as Love Shack, Twist and Shout, ABC/123, Perfect Day, and Get Jiggy with It, this Cd is guaranteed to make you feel like you are cruising across the white sands of Daytona Beach in a convertible filled with happy sistahs!
Really now--let's get busy while I am away.
And to recap.
Blogathon 2004--July 24-25
I am Blogging for Young Survivor Coalition
YOU can sponsor me by going here

For each $5 you pledge your name is entered into a drawing for one of these posters

AND if i reach $750, the lovely lady to the right: jamie
will cut all of that beautiful auburn hair and Donate it to Locks of Love.

I really can't think of any reason why you have not donated already!!!

And, since I know you are burning with questions, I am going to church camp from now until Friday. You can go here to see where I am. And if you click "photos" over on the left column (Elementary 2: Dean Joe Putting), you might just see me! Those photos are updated daily. I know you will get to see my handsome hubby!!

10 Inches of Fun

Now that I have your attention, let me tell you what I mean. Last week I told you that my friend Jamie would cut her gorgeous hair and donate it to locks of love for the measly sum of $750.
That's right--you help me raise $750 and this gorgeous hair goes under the knife!
jamie

She's lovely isn't she??

BUT JUST THINK HOW MUCH FUN WE CAN HAVE SHEARING THOSE LOCKS!

In case you have forgotten, I'll remind you.
8am Saturday July 24th I will begin blogging every 30 minutes for a full 24 hours!
That is 48 blog entries for your education and entertainment!
That is my part.

Your part is to Sponsor Me!
It's easy, click the link and pledge an amount. It's a flat pledge, not per hour.
After the end of the blogathon, you will receive a letter confirming my completion and you will hurry yourself over to the computer, hop on-line and electronically send your money directly to my charity of choice. This year, like last year, I am blogging for Young Survivor Coalition.

DO NOT DELAY! As of this post Think Pink has garnered the most personal pledges of any blogger participating in the blogathon, but the margin is narrow. Only $1 separates me from my closest competitor.
it's up to you, right now, this instant to go over there and help young women in the fight against breast cancer!

AND--give one very beautiful, long tressed woman a COMPLETE MAKEOVER!

BA-DAA-BING

That's the sound my lightbulb makes when it goes off over my head (sometimes it has to kick me too to let me know it's working!)

Ever since AGK made her competitive offer of crocheting a blanket and having a drawing for her sponsors, I have been RACKING my brain as to how I can compete with that. And LO! I just came up with a brilliant idea!!

For every $5 you donate (see me low ball AGK, there?? You have to donate $10 at her site!!) Your name will be entered into a drawing for one of 5 official 2004 Susan G. Komen National Race for the Cure posters featuring none other than ME ! YES YOU HEARD ME! That is a near life size portrait of my pink hair, for you to place ostentatiously in your own home! It won't keep you warm at night like an AGK original blanket, but it's guaranteed to bring a smile to your face!

Don't forget why I blogged!

I wear the pink, but hopefully you won't have to!

There arent enough thank you's in the world for Sara, Joanne, Heather and Nattie who went throught it with me,

for my husband who freed up my hands (literally) to enable me to do it

to all of you who came and commented and left with something that you didn't come with,

And especially to everyone who gave and made a difference!

and most of all to God, creator of life and giver of all good things. I am truly blessed!

$620!!!

LOOK WHAT WE DID!

8:30 AM the final countdown (transplanted)

I am showered.

jammied.

teeth brushed.

My belly is full.

my bladder is empty.

the caffiene has worn off.

my ringer is off.

My kids are gone.

my room is dim.

my bed is large.

my eyes are heavy.

God give me strength!

How can a child who got 11 hours of sleep be so much more grouchy than me--who got none!

IS IT OVER YET!

6:30 Am (transplanted)

All attempts at coherent blogging are temporarily suspended!

Mercy on me--the kids are up!

OOPS--while i was transplanting i left this one out! So its out of order, but i love the pic so i put it in anyway!

OOOOOOH GREAT!

According to this article I am going to be sick and fat at the end of the blogathon. The good news is I will only doze off or become drowsy if put in a dark quiet room. OH YEAH! Like THAT'S gonna happen!
